Commissioning Engineers 

Salary: £30,000 – £54,000 + overtime + benefits 

What we need from you…

A team player with a resourceful and tenacious drive to complete tasks and tests efficiently and thoroughly.  You will work as a Commissioning Engineer within the control system industry having some of the following skills; we do not expect you to have experience in all these areas and for the right candidate on the job training and mentoring will be provided to fill any skills gaps you may have.    

  • Checking installation of equipment is to the correct standard prior to starting testing.
  • Performing testing of a system according to installation and commissioning test document.
  • PLC data input tests including verification of operation to and from plant and field devices into PLCs.
  • Field device set-up
  • Perform site acceptance tests, fault find and correct any PLC code or wiring issues.
  • Perform client testing according to test documents.
  • Produce documentation such as RAM’s; test documentation; weekly progress reports etc.
  • Qualified to HND level or above in electrical or control engineering.
  • As we have a number of positions available we will consider all levels of on the job experience.
  • Have a full UK driving licence
  • Have no criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities.
  • This is a field-based role covering the different sites throughout UK and would be suited for someone with a flexible approach to travelling and working away from home. There is a potential to work a mix of days and nights whilst working on site dependant upon the project and client site access availability.

Quantity Surveyor

Salary: £50,000 – £60,000 + Car Allowance + benefits

We have an opportunity for a  qualified and experienced Quantity Surveyor with a good working knowledge of NEC Contracts to join us in our mission to seamlessly deliver end-to-end
control systems.

 

What the job entails…

• Review and negotiate the terms of new client contracts.
• Manage and administer client contracts
            – Manage and implement contractual change using EWN and Compensation event processes.
            – Manage and issue quotes for instructions
            – Create and manage client payment applications
• Supply-chain contract management
            – Draft and negotiate subcontracts
            – Administer subcontracts including change management to mitigate risks
            – Manage and assess supplier payment applications
• Project support
            – Collaborate with project teams to resolve commercial issues and support decision-making
              processes
            – Provide guidance on contract interpretation and application ensuring compliance with NEC
              principles.
• Foster strong and proactive working relationships with clients, suppliers and subcontractors

What we need from you…

You will report to the Financial Controller and work across all projects within PDS. You will possess excellent
attention to detail, be highly organised and self motivated to help achieve successful delivery of varied projects
within the infrastructure industry.

Required Skills & Experience
• Appropriate degree around Quantity Surveying field or equivalent experience
• Membership in a relevant professional body is desirable
• Extensive knowledge of NEC suite of contracts (NEC3 & NEC4) with a good track record of their
application in infrastructure or technology projects.
• Sound working knowledge of construction and contract law and various forms of Conditions of
Contract. (Mainly NEC but sometimes other contracts e.g. JCT, etc.)
• Excellent IT competency – Excel and Word mandatory.
• Strong client and supplier communication and negotiation skills.
• Flexibility and adaptability to juggle a range of different tasks with commitment to meet schedules
and deadlines.

Cleaner

Salary: £12.50 per hr + benefits including bonus, health, wellbeing

Hours: 15 hours per week, 6am – 9am, Mon to Fri

Expected Start Date: 25th June

We’re looking for two enthusiastic and reliable Cleaners who have previous relevant experience and take pride in maintaining a clean, safe, and inviting workspace. Your role will be essential in supporting our professional atmosphere and ensuring everyone enjoys a well-maintained environment.

The Role.

  • Daily office cleaning, following a set cleaning schedule.
  • Bi-annual deep cleaning tasks including carpet and upholstery cleaning.
  • Coffee machine maintenance to ensure hygiene and functionality.
  • Acting as a key holder for opening the office each morning.
  • Reporting maintenance issues and ensuring health and safety standards are met.

    Apprentice System Support Technician

    Salary: £17,722.57 + overtime + benefits

    You are a team player who will be working within our system support department who are responsible for preventative maintenance, design and modifications of existing SCADA, PLC and associated sub-systems as well as providing 24-hour emergency call out nationwide. On the job training and mentoring will be provided. We are looking for:

    • Practical people who have some experience or interest in engineering and technology.

    • Work as part of a team who are responsible for planning, procuring, maintaining, and reporting over a wide range of sites and sub-systems.

    • Someone who enjoys diagnosing and problem solving and is committed to customer service.

    • Willing to travel throughout the UK, working nights on a regular basis.

    • Have a full UK driving licence or be working towards obtaining one, and a valid passport.

    • Have no criminal convictions due to security clearances required by airport authorities.
