Public Address and Voice Alarm

Public Address and Voice Alarm

Tunnel speaker

Engineered for critical transport environments, our Public Address and Voice Alarm (PAVA) systems deliver unparalleled clarity and reliability. Overcoming the acoustic challenges of road tunnels, our systems ensure vital messages are heard, even amidst reverberation and noise. We achieve exceptional Sound Transmission Index (STI) through specialised speaker design and optimised sound profiles for amplifier configurations. Scalable solutions are available to meet diverse budgets and project requirements. Experience the difference first-hand with demonstrations and testing at our office.

PAVA in Dublin Tunnel

Dublin Tunnel is a 4.5km twin bore tunnel, which opened to the traffic on December 20th, 2006. Forming part of the M50 motorway, this tunnel is a dedicated route for Heavy Goods Vehicles to the Port.

The existing system struggled with the acoustic challenges of the tunnel, failing to provide clear messaging to travellers. We were tasked with implementing a system that is reliable and meets client requirements.

Our PAVA system uses bespoke directional speakers that ensures vital messages are heard, even amidst reverberation and noise. We achieve 100% loudspeaker coverage with Sound Transmission Index, due to the speaker design and optimised filter profiles for amplifier configurations. Our solutions are scalable to meet a wide range of project requirements.

Dublin Tunnel is made safer with clear concise communication via our PAVA system, providing reliable communication channels from the control room to the travellers.
